- 1 kg tuna or king fish or whatever your favorite
- 8-10 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 2 red chilies
- 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 10 medium green chilies, sliced lengthwise
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- Oil
1. Marinate the onion in vinegar for about 15 minutes
2. Season the fish with salt and pepper
3. Heat oil in deep frying pan
4. Fry the fish until golden brown
5. Drain fish on a paper towel and put aside
6. Combine the mustard seeds, cloves of garlic, red chili and some water and grind into a fine paste
7. Cut fish into medium pieces
8. In a pan heat 3 tablespoon oil
9. Add the turmeric powder, ground mustard, garlic and chili paste and keep stirring
10. Add little oil if required
11. Turn off the heat
12. Add the fried fish pieces
13. Carefully combine the fish with the spices
14. Add the onions and the sliced chilies and mix well
15. Season with salt
16. Allow to cool and serve with rice and black lentils or simply with bread
