Blog: MMM-MSM-Remake 2000 In Desperation
[Written by Bijaye M. (Guest Author) on Friday 28th of October 2011 - 05:47:00]
How desperate MMM and MSM could be to even think of a remake alliance 2000. The remake implies that the President of the Republic, Sir Anerood Jugnauth resigns and takes the leadership of the MSM, opens negotiations with MMM on seat and power sharing on the basis of three years premiership to Sir Anerood Jugnauth as leader of the MSM and two years to Paul Berenger as leader to the MMM.

[Written by S. K. Mahadeo (Guest Author) on Friday 28th of October 2011 - 06:21:00]
It goes to the credit of Bunwaree that his tenacity has led to the virtual banning of tuitions at Std 4, a prelude to tougher battles in future to dismantle tuitions completely from the Primary sector. However, in public policy management it is true that banning has only led the activity to flourish underground as an activity in black....

The leader of a Primary School Teachers' Union would wish to have a police post in every primary school. The President of the Secondary Teachers' Union wants to reintroduce caning as a fit measure to combat violence in schools. You realise that you are far away from the noble elegance, rich empathetic capacity, and civilised behaviour of an educated guide and mentor....

Blog: Medpoint sale - Make or Break of a future Prime Minister?
[Written by Ploum Ploum (Guest Author) on Thursday 13th of October 2011 - 01:11:00]
To some it was the scandal of the century, if not the SALE OF THE CENTURY. To others it was the straw that breaks the camels back with already a hefty penalty – five Ministers having resigned and a major Alliance partner virtually forced to jump ship. For the MSM and its Leader and its ever ambitious Leader, it was a trap carefully executed by the Labour Party to strike a killer blow to a major Political challenger for the most coveted position of prime Minister....

Blog: The MMM/MSM attempt at a Coup d’Etat
[Written by Murli Manohar (Guest Author) on Thursday 6th of October 2011 - 02:12:00]
The Medpoint case has been a defining moment in the political events of this year. One year after the victory of the Labour/MSM/PMSD alliance at the May 2010 general elections, the MSM resigned from the government on the ground that Maya Hanoomanjee was forced into resigning following her arrest by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Since then, there has been a systematic undermining of the institutions of this country by the MMM and the MSM and even the President of the Republic, the founder of the MSM and father of Pravind Jugnauth, contributed to that insidious campaign following the arrest of his son by ICAC....

When we listen to what is said on radio on current issues, when we read some newspapers and hear statements of some politicians, the impression we get is that the country is on the brink of disintegration. It makes me wonder whether some journalists read, understand, mean what they write and gauge the impact on the common reader. The same applies to politicians and some radio journalists....
