Blog: Perversion and Violation of the Constitution
[Written by Murli Manohar (Guest Author) on Friday 30th of March 2012 - 02:18:00]
It is crystal clear that the "president" of the Republic has donned the garb of a full-fledged politician and is openly critical of his government. In 2010 when he read the traditional speech outlining the plan of the government, a government where his son sat as Minister of Finance, he fully endorsed the measures just as he was silent on the measures of the budget speech of his son. He is very silent on that speech that did not enunciate much by the way.
Blog: President or Prime Minister-in-Waiting ?
[Written by Murli Manohar (Guest Author) on Friday 23rd of March 2012 - 15:35:00]

Blog: The dirty Picture
[Written by Murli Manohar (Guest Author) on Friday 9th of March 2012 - 00:46:00]
Reference is not being made to the Bollywood movie with a gorgeous Vidya Balan dancing Ooh la la. Rather we mean the dirty picture from Jugnauthwood/Berengerwood. The nomination for the best actor is Paul Berenger and for best supporting actor Sir Anerood Jugnauth. The awards will be decided at election time by the electorate....
Blog: What a shameful State!
[Written by Murli Manohar (Guest Author) on Friday 2nd of March 2012 - 02:37:00]
Never in the history of independent Mauritius has the topmost institution of the country been so undermined. That topmost office is the office of the president that replaced the institution of governor general. The latter was the representative of the British monarch. Whether one is occupying the office of governor general or that of president the cardinal rule is that the holder should be scrupulously above politics....
