Majority of participants comprising academics from a broad range of disciplines, Chagossians and their legal advisors, representatives of states in the region, UK foreign and commonwealth office, NGOs and the all party parliamentary group on Chagos at a workshop held in January 2010 at Royal Holloway at the University of London have concluded that every effort should be made to get the arrangements right first time rather that having to start all over again if political circumstances change. In particular, the MPA should withstand future challenges that might arise through resettlement and/or a change in sovereignty.

The majority of Mauritians whose ancestors hail from Bihar was happily relieved at the return of Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister for a second consecutive term last November. JDU and BJP as a member of National Development Alliance - NDA, won four fifth of the majority in the assembly, 206 out of an assembly of 243 seats. The BJP won 89 of the 102 it contested in the alliance....
